Gun Deaths Increasing, Suicide Primary Cause, According to New CDC Data

According to new data released by the Centers for Disease Control, more Americans are dying from easy access to guns. From 2012 to 2013, gun deaths increased slightly overall. This increase is mostly due to a 2.5% increase in firearm suicide of all ages.

Gun suicides are a huge tragedy that claims over twenty thousand lives every year. Guns are used in over 50% of all suicides, and suicide rates are higher in regions with weak gun laws and higher rates of gun ownership.
