Hearing on Background Checks Bill Held

The Senate Judiciary Committee held a hearing on SB 941, which would require background checks on all gun sales in the state of Oregon. Witnesses gave testimony for and against the bill. Brenna Lewis testified on behalf of Ceasefire Oregon, and afterwards background check supporters met with various legislators to urge them to pass the bill.

Background checks are a common sense gun law that will help keep guns out of the hands of criminals and save lives. Call or email your state representative and senator, and urge them to support SB 941.
